It has come to Wet Shavers Blog’s attention that John Griffin has left Gillette to head up the US office for Ergonomidesign, a Swedish firm responsible for, as best I can tell, the terrific BabyBjorn infant carrier.
Griffin had been the head of design for Gillette’s wet shaving division. He was the man behind the development of the Fusion and those nifty power-assisted cartridge razors over there.
As much as I sneer at and make fun of the Fusion, one can’t argue with success. Griffin’s brainchild has made a helluva lot of money for Gillette and its investors (yeah, I’m looking at you, Warren Buffett).
Wet Shavers Blog congratulates Mr. Griffin and wishes him the best of luck working for the Swedes.
I spent many an hour toting my kids around in a BabyBjorn and still got ten bucks for it on Craigslist once they outgrew it. Really a great product. Bring us something like that again, will you, John?
